KARACHI: Pakistan gets the first Vice-President ship of Asian Sailing Federation for next four years.

According to the Spokesman for the Pakistan Sailing Federation, Captain (R) Abdur Rehman Arshad has been elected as a Vice president of Asian Sailing Federation for next 4 years. He is the first Pakistani who reaches to this position.

Captain (R) Abdur Rehman Arshad is associated with sailing for last 45 years. He is an International Race officer and was involved in running races in Olympic, Asian Games, and World Championships. As a Vice-President, he is now responsible for the Development of Sailing and the Technical staff of Asia. He is also a Vice-President of International Optimist Dinghy Association (IODA) for last 6 years and controls the Optimist sailing in Africa, Asia, and Oceania.

The Newly elected Vice-President of Asian Sailing Federation, Captain (R) Abdur Rehman Arshad has many achievements at Asian and world level, including Silver Medal in Asian Sailing Championship, World Master title in Enterprise in 1991, Worlds Bronze Medal in Asian Sailing Championship and Many Gold Medals at South Asian Yachting Regatta.
